EnvironAction – Call For Application

EnvironAction Application Are you passionate about media and environmental advocacy? Welcome to the EnvironAction Application Page! The EnvironAction project is a four month hands-on training program focused on photography, videography, photo editing, video editing, and environmental storytelling. Participants will gain practical, real world media skills that enable them to professionally document environmental and social injustices within their communities. Throughout the program, participants will be trained to capture high quality photos and videos, edit them into compelling visual stories, and publish content that can support advocacy, public awareness, and accountability efforts. To qualify for the FutureTechies Scholarship, applicants must: Demonstrate a passion for environmental advocacy: Applicants must clearly showcase their interest and commitment to advocating against oil spillage in Bayelsa. Be from the Niger Delta and reside in Yenagoa, Bayelsa: Applicants are required to be native to the Niger Delta region and currently reside in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. Have a strong interest in media skills: Participants should demonstrate a clear and sincere interest in photography and videography, and eagerness to learn and grow. Be committed to attending the entire program: Applicants should be fully prepared to dedicate themselves to the fellowship’s 4-month duration and launching a short film. Be between the ages of 18-30 years of age: We try to ensure that the program is tailored to young individuals seeking to grow their skills and make an impact. Personal Short Documentary Film Conceptualize, produce, and complete your own short documentary film documenting a social or environmental injustice in your community. Strong Storytelling Portfolio Graduate from the program with a polished portfolio of photo, video, and film work supported by mentorship and hands-on experience. Pathway to Paid Opportunities Receive guidance and exposure to help you secure paid content creation and storytelling opportunities by the end of the program.
