The FutureTechies Fellowship is an on-site practical digital skills program by Tech4Rural created to help young people build the knowledge, confidence, and experience needed to thrive in today’s digital world. Through hands-on learning, mentorship, and real-world projects, participants gain skills that can lead to meaningful careers, entrepreneurship, and lifelong opportunities.

August 04th, 2026: Application opens

August 26th-28th, 2026: Review of applicants
August 31st, 2026 Acceptance sent to successful applicants
September 1st-2nd: Confirmation of acceptance
September 7th, 2026: FutureTechies Fellowship onboarding/ Start of program
November 30th, 2026: FutureTechies Fellowship Ends

Eligibility

We are looking for people who:

Are passionate about learning digital skills.
Are committed to completing the fellowship.
Can attend all required training sessions.
Are eager to build a career or business in technology or the digital economy.
Are willing to collaborate, learn, and contribute positively to the fellowship community

No prior tech experience is required — only commitment and consistency.

Benefits

Receive hands-on training in tech skills

During the 3-month fellowship, you have the opportunity to learn one of these skills including:
Digital Marketing, UI/UX Design, Software Development, or Graphic Design.

During the course of the program, through case studies, you will work on different exciting projects which you will use to create a stellar portfolio.

Receive a certificate of completion

Upon graduation from the FutureTechies Program, you will be awarded a professional certificate of completion from Tech4Rural, which you can showcase to potential hiring managers.
